One of our satisfied customers is a boutique winery located in SA’s McLaren Vale region. They recently upgraded to our new TASK A-Series battery-electric forklift with a 360 Fork Rotator and Load Hold Down attachment and have been reaping the benefits during their busy harvesting season.
According to wineries general manager and winemaker, John Carter, their old forklift, which was over 30 years old, had served them well, but it was time for an upgrade. Their new TASK A-Series forklift has proven to be reliable and efficient, particularly during processing, where they handle around 70 tonnes of fruit each year.
With the Fork Rotator and Load Hold Down attachment, the forklift can pick up 450kg bins of fruit and rotate them 360 degrees in either direction, ensuring that the grapes are processed without any damage. The load hold-down bar prevents the bin from getting dumped along with the grapes. This attachment has been a game-changer for the boutique winery. “We only get one shot at it, and when the grapes are ready to be harvested, they must come off straight away. There is no time to waste when making high-quality wine."
